For the fourth consecutive year, Underground Elephant is named on Inc. 5000’s exclusive list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. We are proud to be ranked #1936, moving up 691 spots since last year. In the past three years, UE has grown 192%, and recorded its largest revenue yet of $71 million at the close of 2015. This year, the Inc. 5000 list boasts a group of very high achieving companies, with an overall average three-year growth rate of nearly 500%. Underground Elephant CEO, Jason Kulpa, sees the honor as significant for the company’s current growth stage. ““Making the list in our 8th year in business is meaningful, considering how challenging it can be to continue to scale your company during its maturity phase,” says Kulpa. “As a CEO, it’s an honor to be included with such great companies.”
Since making the Inc. 5000 list last year, UE has seen growth across all fronts. In March, we expanded our market reach and launched four new verticals in both the personal finance and solar industries. To accommodate for our vertical growth, we’ve also increased our employee base by 16% in the past year. Our San Diego footprint has grown exponentially as well; in June, we moved our headquarters from a high-rise office to a ground floor 22,000 square foot warehouse space.
Aside from business endeavors, UE’s unique office space and culture has helped the company to grow and flourish as San Diego’s largest digital marketing company. “I’m proud of the team and culture we built,” shares Kulpa. “Our progression is a reflection of our culture; our team is insatiable about advancing concepts for our consumers.”
