Underground Elephant is partnering with Sempra Energy to host a pit stop on 488 8th Ave. San Diego, 92101. We will be providing free coffee from Dark Horse Roasters, donuts, Underground Elephant t-shirts, along with official Bike to Work Day t-shirts.
“Promoting a clean city and healthy workforce is something we feel passionately about at Underground Elephant,” said Jason Kulpa, CEO of Underground Elephant. “Bike to Work day is the perfect opportunity to champion this cause, while also having the ability to get out and connect with San Diegans in our community.”
As part of May’s National Bike Month, San Diegans have opportunities to commute by bike all month long. May 18 is the official GO by BIKE, Bike to Work Day and will feature more than 100 pit stops for bikers all over the region, between 6 to 9 a.m. Pit stops offer a fun break for new and experienced bike riders to rest and pick up a free t-shirt, snacks and encouragement.
“The SANDAG iCommute program wants to make biking to work the new norm,” said Jason Kulpa. “San Diego is such a beautiful city, Underground Elephant is in full support of any organization aiming to protect the environment while promoting a healthy lifestyle at the same time.”
San Diego’s Bike to Work day is organized by the SANDAG iCommute program. Bike Month 2017 supports biking as an everyday, environmentally friendly, cost-saving commute choice. With thousands of miles of bikeways in the San Diego region, biking gets commuters where they need to go. If you are interested in participating in Bike to Work Day, you can register here:
